Faz muitos anos que eu estou produzindo uma série que se chama, depois de van Gogh. Essa serie consiste em eu pintar lugares que o van Gogh pintou, da forma que esses lugares estão hoje em dia. Uma das condições auto impostas a mim mesmo, foi que eu pintaria do meu jeito, sem querer imitar os trejeitos do artista. É um trabalho que tem sua importância, pois, foi com esse quadro que eu criei a "encáustica acrílica". O que seria essa tal encáustica acrílica? Ela é parecida com encáustica tradicional, só que, no lugar do óleo, se coloca a tinta acrílica, O resultado é uma cor opaca e muito interessante com o uso da cera de abelha na tinta.

I've been producing a series for many years now called, after van Gogh. This series consists of me painting places that van Gogh painted the way those places are today. One of the self-imposed conditions on myself was that I would paint in my way, not wanting to imitate the artist's mannerisms. It is a work that has importance because it was with this painting that I created the "acrylic encaustic". What would this acrylic encaustic be? It is similar to traditional encaustic, only acrylic paint is used instead of oil. The result is an opaque and exciting color with beeswax in the paint.
